What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of more than 100 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant, known to possess anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and anti-anxiety properties. Because CBD is non-psychoactive, it will NOT make you high.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are the key chemical compounds of the hemp and marijuana plants (both cannabis, just varietals). Although at least 113 active cannabinoids have been identified to-date, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the only one that’s psychoactive. Not Pot extracts their CBD from hemp, which by definition contains less than 0.3% THC by dry weight.

What is the endocannabinoid system (ES)?

The main role of the human endocannabinoid systems is to maintain homeostasis—biological harmony in response to changes in the environment. Research initially suggested that endocannabinoid receptors only existed in the brain and nerves, but scientists later discovered that these receptors are located throughout the body. Cannabinoids work by binding to receptors in the endocannabinoid system (ECS) to support memory, mood, immune function, sleep, and even sex.

Will CBD make me high?
